A flashy New York lawyer blows through a stop sign and gets pulled over by a small-town West Virginia sheriff.<\/p>\n
Confident in his expensive suit and oversized ego, the lawyer smirks and says,<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy did you stop me?\u201d<\/p>\n
The sheriff replies,<\/p>\n
\u201cYou didn\u2019t come to a complete stop at that stop sign. License and registration.\u201d<\/p>\n
The lawyer chuckles.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause you’re going to hit me!\u201d<\/p>\n

He points toward the lawyer’s car.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou didn’t need to know whether I was going to hit you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The lawyer stands there silently.<\/p>\n
The sheriff holds out his hand.<\/p>\n

The lawyer slowly reaches into his pocket.<\/p>\n
\u201cFine.\u201d<\/p>\n
The sheriff writes the ticket.<\/p>\n
Before handing it over, he looks up.<\/p>\n
