A priest took a beautiful woman into his bedroom.
He put a Bible on the bed and asked her to lie down.
When the priest tried to kiss her, the woman jumped up and shouted,
“Father, what are you doing?!”
The priest quickly stepped back and said,
“I’m testing your faith!”
The woman stared at him.
“My faith?”
“Yes,” he replied nervously. “The Bible says we must resist temptation.”
She picked up the Bible and opened it.
“Then why did you put this on the bed?”
The priest smiled.
“So we’d have something holy nearby.”
She shook her head.
“Father, I think you’re the one who needs to read it.”
She pointed to a passage.
“Thou shalt not covet.”
The priest’s face turned red.
Then she pointed to another line.
“Lead us not into temptation.”
The priest sighed.
“You’re making a very good point.”
She smiled.
“Good.”
She picked up her handbag and walked toward the door.
The priest called after her,
“Wait!”
She turned around.
“What?”
He pointed at the Bible.
“You forgot your book.”
She laughed.
“Keep it, Father.”
“Why?”
“Because clearly, you need it more than I do.”
And she walked away, leaving the priest staring at the Bible in silence.
Sometimes the person you think needs a lesson…
ends up teaching you one instead. 😂
