She thought all that ‘extra help’ guaranteed an A… until the professor revealed the real reason she got a C. 😂📚

A college girl had been “very close” with her male teacher all semester… always staying after class, getting “extra help.”

Her friends kept teasing her,

“Girl, you’re definitely getting an A!”

Final results day comes…

She storms into his office, furious.

“What is THIS?!” she shouts, waving her paper.

He adjusts his glasses calmly.

“That’s your grade.”

“C?! After everything I did for you?!” she snaps.

He leans back, sighs, and says,

“Exactly.”

She stares at him.

“Exactly WHAT?”

“You came to my office twenty-seven times.”

“Yes!”

“You asked me to explain every chapter.”

“Yes!”

“You stayed after class for hours.”

“Yes!”

“You emailed me at midnight.”

“Yes!”

“And every single time I told you the same thing…”

He pauses.

“Study harder.”

She crosses her arms.

“I thought all that extra attention meant you were going to help me get an A!”

“I did help you.”

“How?! I got a C!”

He calmly picked up her exam.

“You answered only 42% of the questions correctly.”

She blinked.

“But I came to every study session!”

“Yes.”

“I took notes!”

“Yes.”

“I asked questions!”

“Yes.”

“I even brought you coffee!”

He nodded.

“And I appreciated the coffee.”

She pointed at him.

“Then why didn’t I get an A?”

He smiled.

“Because this is college, not customer service.”

Her mouth dropped open.

Her friends, who had been waiting outside the office, suddenly burst into laughter.

She turned around.

“You guys!”

One of them yelled,

“We told you! You can’t flirt your way through calculus!”

The professor cleared his throat.

“Actually, she’s not taking calculus.”

Everyone looked at him.

“She’s taking history.”

The room went silent.

The girl slowly looked at her exam again.

At the top of the page, she noticed something she hadn’t seen before.

FINAL EXAM — WORLD HISTORY

She froze.

“Oh…”

The professor raised an eyebrow.

“You studied for the wrong class.”

She stared at him.

“Wait… then what class did I study for?”

He looked at her textbook.

“Organic chemistry.”

Her friends collapsed laughing.

She covered her face.

“So I’ve been coming here every night…”

“Yes.”

“…asking you questions about chemistry…”

“Yes.”

“…while you’re my history professor…”

“Yes.”

“And I just failed history because I never studied it?”

He nodded.

“Now you understand your C.”

She stood up slowly.

“Professor?”

“Yes?”

“Can I still get extra help?”

He smiled.

“Of course.”

“With history?”

“That would be a good place to start.”

She walked toward the door, completely embarrassed.

Then she turned around.

“One last question.”

“Yes?”

“Can I at least have my coffee back?”

The professor laughed.

“No refunds.”

She walked out while her friends were still laughing.

And from that day on, she learned an important lesson:

Being close to the teacher doesn’t matter if you’re studying the wrong subject.

Sometimes the problem isn’t that you didn’t get enough help.

Sometimes…

you were preparing for the wrong test.
