At 80, Arthur discovered the secret to surviving a young bride: never underestimate the power of a good night’s sleep! 😂

An 80-year-old man marries a 25-year-old woman.

After their wedding night, the old man walks down to the hotel breakfast buffet looking energized, whistling a tune, and remarkably refreshed.

His best man, who is also in his 80s, pulls him aside and whispers,

“My God, Arthur! You’re 80 years old. How on earth did you handle a bride that young all night? Weren’t you worried about your heart?”

Arthur smiles and says,

“Of course I was worried about my heart.”

His friend looks concerned.

“Then what did you do?”

Arthur takes a sip of coffee and says,

“I followed the advice my doctor gave me years ago.”

“What advice?”

“Take it slow, don’t overdo anything, and stop immediately if you feel tired.”

His friend nods.

“That makes sense.”

Arthur grins.

“So I followed his advice.”

“Exactly!”

“I went to sleep at 9:30.”

His friend stares at him.

“Wait… that’s it?”

Arthur smiles.

“That’s it.”

“But what about your young bride?”

Arthur points toward the breakfast buffet.

“She stayed up until midnight watching movies.”

His friend bursts out laughing.

“So you didn’t do anything?”

Arthur shrugs.

“I did exactly what an 80-year-old man should do.”

“What’s that?”

“Get eight hours of sleep.”

Arthur takes another sip of coffee.

“That’s how you wake up feeling twenty-five.”

His friend shakes his head.

“Arthur, you had me worried for nothing!”

Arthur smiles.

“My friend, at our age, the most dangerous thing after midnight…”

He pauses dramatically.

“…is getting up to use the bathroom.”

The two old men burst out laughing.

And Arthur walked away whistling,

because at 80, a good night’s sleep is still the best honeymoon activity. 😂
